THE BASTION OF
|
We follow in the intellectual tradition of great Australian leaders, such as
Robert Menzies and John Howard, and international leaders such as Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. As a club, we believe in standing against the ever increasing leviathan of the
state and in defending civil society and those fundamental rights, considered classically liberal but conservative in the Anglosphere: free enterprise, freedom of assembly, belief, speech and the defence of property rights. We value the inheritance of Western Civilization; the rule of law, the constitution, the family and the Judeo-Christian values that have underpinned it. |
We are not aligned with any political party. As such, we are independent
in developing and advocating Conservative ideas. |
We provide our members the opportunity to meet fellow students of a centre-right
persuasion. Members cultivate political skills and develop an intellectual and philosophical grounding in the context of centre-right Australian politics. Throughout the year, we hold numerous functions, social events and policy symposiums with prominent conservative MPs, business leaders, journalists, writers and academics. |
